National Community Action Partnership Releases Statement to Affirm Core Values

The National Community Action Partnership is the central agency for the 1,000+ local Community Action Agencies that provide life changing services to individuals & families. Albany Community Action Partnership (ACAP) in Albany, NY is part of the network. The National organization has released a statement - Affirming its Core Values. The statement includes a response to the disproportionate losses to important populations in our country. Community Action continues to denounce all forms of violence & any acts that dehumanize anyone. The words of the Community Action Promise: “We care about the entire community”. And, in love & unity, we will interrupt the darkness of this time & will continue to “embody the spirit of hope”.

Call 518-463- 3175 - ACAP has skill development tools that are specific to remote interviewing, trainings in virtual meeting/interviewing platforms and online supportive job placement resources. If you are interested in learning about our additional Community & Career classes and resources, call us as soon as possible at 518463-3175. A Service Navigator will call you back to review our career training options with you and see if you qualify for our services.

WE ARE WORKING VIRTUALLY FOR OUR ALBANY CUSTOMERS. Call us and leave a message: 518-463-3175. A Service Navigator will contact you. Important updated alert (05.14.20): ACAP offices will be closed to the public until further notice in response to the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. Our Food Pantry in Cohoes will remain open, but please call in advance: 518-237-9201 before visiting. ACAP Early Childhood Education Enrollment is Open

ACAP is accepting enrollment for our Early Childhood Education Program now. Please note: if you live in the Albany City School District and have a 3 year old ready for pre-school in the Fall. Contact ACAP today to enroll and complete the Albany City School District Lottery application. DEADLINE IS MAY 22. Do not miss out on a spot in the fall.  Do not delay to learn about our program and if your child is eligible. ACAP is working during the COVID-19 pandemic and  a Service Navigator will call you back. Call us at 518-463-3175.
