Do I have to have a GED or high school diploma to participate in the program?<Back to Top>
While some specific trainings do require a GED or high school diploma, others do not. If you are interested in obtaining a GED or diploma, ACAP can help you achieve this goal. Please call or attend one of our Monday orientations for more information.
Can I enroll in a Career Pathways Training as well as a HPOG Training?<Back to Top>
No. Career Pathways and HPOG are state and federal funded programs that only allow only one training per individual, though all support services offered by ACAP are available to any participant in either program. ACAP’s career services are designed to facilitate growth within every customer we serve.
Can you help me find work if I have a criminal conviction?<Back to Top>
Absolutely. While most our health care training programs require passing a criminal background check, we regularly work with individuals from many different backgrounds and offer intensive job readiness services that are designed to facilitate personal growth far beyond the immediate scope of employment.
How long does the HPOG/Career Pathways program last?<Back to Top>
Our career services programs vary in length and are dependent upon each participant's interests and goals. Specific trainings generally last 6 to 8 weeks followed by additional employment services. In addition, we offer retention services that continue after each customer successfully obtains employment.
Are there any additional career services resources available?<Back to Top>
In addition to our trainings, job placement assistance, and retention services, we also offer employment readiness workshops, career planning, resume assistance, transportation assistance, etc. For additional resource information, visit our Helpful Resources page.
